Plein Air
This year I was excited to challenge my painting skills and attempt to create Plein air paintings. My work traditionally is created in studio from a combination of sketch and photos. It has been my routine since college. I am also an introvert, or so I thought, about allowing people to see my work before I complete the finished product. Challenge accepted. I was able to get out on several occasions this year and gain confidence. The results of painting outside allowed me to grow as a painter. It's now back in the studio as winter is casting its' shadow across the landscape. I am excited to see what next year brings!
